We were retained by a major utility company to assist them in developing an atmospheric corrosion risk assessment map for a proposed telecommunication line. The company was interested in materials selection for their structures. In consulting with Matergenics, it was decided that the best way to select materials based on environmental conditions would be to create an atmospheric corrosion risk map. The map would identify areas of high, medium and low above-ground corrosion risks. Using this information we were able to successfully offer the exact material type and coating to use on their proposed structures to minimize corrosion.
